The Arkansas Public Health Association (APHA) Awards committee is accepting nominations for the Tom T. Ross Award. Any member of APHA may nominate individuals for this award. The award recipient will be selected based on the strength of the nomination as judged by the criteria below.  Awards will be presented during the annual APHA Conference in April 2020.

The Dr. Tom T. Ross Award was established in 1959 for outstanding achievement in public health.  It is given to a member who has made and outstanding contribution to public health in Arkansas.

Nominations that do not address all questions and meet the criteria will not be considered. Answers do not have to be long but should be as specific as possible.

Tell us how the nominee’s contribution/achievement was performed in a professional manner.
Tell us how the nominee continued the contribution over a reasonable length of time.
Tell us how the nominee is outstanding in comparison to others in the same type of employment.
