Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential

We are excited to announce that the Arkansas Public Health Association has partnered with the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) to bring you information about the Certified in Public Health Credential.  This credential elevates public health professionals in with field.

The partnership will provide members with the opportunity to take the CPH exam for a discounted rate and access to free study resources otherwise available for a fee.  Our goal is to get 100 ArkPHA members Certified in Public Health by the end of 2020!

What is CPH?

CPH shows employers you go above and beyond to widen your skillset and commit to your career and the public health profession. With CPH, you stay current on best practices and raise the bar for public health by meeting and maintaining a national standard.

How much does it cost?

In 2020, ArkPHA members will sit for the exam at discounted price of $250 (usually $385!). When you register for CPH, indicate you are a member on your application. The price will automatically adjust.

How do I prepare?

Visit the NBPHE.org/ArkPHA to learn more about the CPH and explore the full exam process. Most study resources are free, but members will also receive free access to the ASPPH CPH Study Guide which is usually $49.99. Use the code ARKPHA20 to bypass the payment process.

What happens if I don't pass?

Don't worry! If you do not pass the first time, NBPHE will never publicly publish your results until you pass. You may retake the exam at a reduced fee of $150 as may times as you'd like.
