PHNNA Salutes Public Health Nurses with Appreciation Day February 27

The Public Health Nursing Association of Arkansas (PHNNA) will honor Arkansas public health nurses from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 27, with an "Appreciation Day" of speakers, continuing education, door prizes and lunch at First Christian Church, 1500 N. Mississippi, Little Rock. The opening speaker will be former U.S. Senator David Pryor who retired from office in 1997. Pryor is a former U.S. representative and governor of Arkansas. His remarks are titled "A Pryor Commitment." Also on the program is B.J. Sams who retired last year after 56 years in the news business where he was a television news anchor and co-host of Today's THV This Morning" on Channel 11. Sams' presentation is titled "BJ's Personal Testimony."

Lee Ann Danner, MA/RN, a Baptist Health new nurse internship coordinator, will present a continuing nursing education session worth two credits from 1-3 p.m. Her presentation is titled "My generation, your generation, their generation: whose generation is it really?"
