Mission

The Arkansas Department of Health and community partners seek to protect the health of the public and all Arkansans in the mission to reduce and eliminate Infectious Diseases. ADH and community partners provide continuous efforts to prevent, treat, provide access to quality care, as well as control and monitor the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. 

Objectives

  • Improve the public’s understanding of HIV and all Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
  • Eradicate stigma, discrimination and health disparities surrounding HIV and all Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
  • Strengthen systems of STD treatment and HIV care.
  • Advocate for public policy to alleviate the human and economic costs of HIV and all Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
